Clawed Ferry Escape Walkthrough
Maze, DinoBites, green card, and the final Prehistoria extraction on Steam.
The last third of the Clawed Steam demo is where most squads stall: tight mazes, raptor ambushes, a waterfront ferry ride, and access cards that only appear after scripted dinosaur bites. Flatrock Games gates the Prehistoria extraction behind three late-demo pillars - the maintenance shed fuse chain (already covered upstream), the underwater red-light segment, and the maze-to-ferry sequence documented here. If you arrive with assault rifle ammo and a clear co-op plan, this chapter takes thirty to sixty minutes; if you enter the maze with pistol-only players, expect multiple wipes.
Start this guide after completing objectives through the Demo Walkthrough ranger station and underwater beats. Keep Key Locations open for pickup callouts and Puzzle Solutions when fuse or wrench panels still block your route.
Before the maze: loadout check
Confirm your team holds:
- Assault rifle from the ranger station with spare magazines
- Shotgun from the second shelter for maze corners
- Fuse and wrench puzzles completed so power routes stay open
- At least one player on rear-guard duty with voice comms enabled
Survival mode punishes maze sprinting - hunger and thirst tick while you circle junctions. Classic mode is the better first clear for learning layout. See Game Modes for mode differences.
Spinosaurus circle and south maintenance
Late-demo routing usually passes the Spinosaurus statue circle between two maintenance buildings. Community maps place the south maintenance shed key in the back room of the building opposite the circle - not inside the patrol loop itself. Time the Spinosaurus path, cross when the predator turns, and grab the key without triggering a fight you cannot win with current ammo.
Inside the shed, collect the electrical fuse used at the small shed near the second Spinosaurus statue. This chain is easy to skip if someone assumes the maze comes immediately after underwater - backtrack now rather than entering the maze underpowered.
Underwater red lights (recap)
The aquatic segment between maintenance and maze zones requires immediate turnaround upon submersion, spotting the red light, and pressing each progression button until you surface dry. Megalodon and Deinosuchus pressure this route - see Dinosaur Tier List for why swimming randomly is fatal.
Co-op tip: one player calls button order while another watches the surface entry. Do not split the party across two underwater gates.
Maze navigation and ferry key
The old ferry ride key sits inside the maze near late-demo waterfront tunnels. Steam community posts reference a white shoe landmark beside ammunition on the ground - use it as a junction marker when walls look identical. Utah Raptors spawn inside maze corridors; keep shotgun ready at blind corners and never sprint alone ahead of the group.
Maze rules that prevent hour-long loops:
- Assign a navigator who marks left/right at each fork verbally
- Leave a rear guard ten meters back to catch flanking raptors
- Pick up the ferry key on first contact - do not explore optional dead ends before the key is secured
- Retrace the same path out rather than guessing new routes
If the key holder goes down, prioritize reviving them before pushing deeper - losing the ferry key in a wipe resets the entire maze push.
DinoBites, green card, and Pier A
After maze exit, routing typically leads toward DinoBites snack buildings and Pier A waterfront stations. Two items gate the finale:
Green access card - Often obtained in DinoBites after the ferry segment or tied to a dinosaur bite chase event. Some demo builds drop the card when an enclosure scrape triggers - the bitten player should call out immediately and hand the card to the puzzle runner.
Pier A station key - Community key lists place this in DinoBites after the ferry, alongside other late-demo access items. Search counters, back rooms, and staff-only doors marked with red lights.
Treat DinoBites like a mini-hub: clear raptors room by room, loot quietly, then assign one player to interact with card readers while others cover exits.
Ferry ride and Megalodon waters
The ferry console requires the ferry key plus green card in most verified clears. Wait for the ferry to cycle if it is mid-route - jumping early into Megalodon exhibit waters kills solo players instantly. Watch the ferry path from cover, board when the platform aligns, and stay grouped during transit.
Underwater sections near the ferry may reuse red-light logic. Apply the same turn, light, button rhythm from Getting Started. If you feel stuck in dark water, search for underwater gates instead of swimming into open ocean space.

After extraction
Finishing the demo unlocks wishlist momentum for the August 13, 2026 Steam launch. Re-run with Demo Checklist for speed routes or tourism exploration via Game Modes. Flatrock may shift maze layout or card placement in patches - check Demo Patch Notes and Dev News after updates.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Where is the ferry key in the Clawed demo maze?
Inside the maze near a white shoe and ammunition pile according to Steam community routes. Navigate systematically with a rear guard because Utah Raptors flank blind corners.
Where do I get the green card for the ferry?
Most clears obtain the green access card in DinoBites after the ferry segment or from a dinosaur bite event during a late-demo chase. Assign a callout when it drops.
What do I need at the ferry console?
Typically the old ferry ride key from the maze plus the green card. Some builds also require the Pier A station key from DinoBites - verify both readers before calling a wipe.
How do I survive Megalodon near the ferry?
Board the ferry when it aligns instead of swimming open water. Use red-light button chains if an underwater gate blocks progress and keep Deinosuchus lanes in mind from the tier list.
Does co-op change ferry escape steps?
Objectives stay the same. Split navigator, key runner, anchor, and overwatch roles so one player always holds access cards while others cover raptor flanks.
